IGX Process TransformationIGX Enterprise Process Architecture
Using the Organisation Deep Dive Assessment and Wider Business Context Method.
When this service helps
You need a reliable view of how the organisation works across functions: which services and processes matter, who owns them, how they connect and where change would have the greatest effect. It is particularly useful when information is fragmented, responsibility overlaps, or improvement programmes lack a shared business context.
What IGX does
We agree the organisational boundary and the decisions the architecture must support. We review existing material, facilitate workshops and use the Organisation Deep Dive Assessment to test readiness, evidence and shared dependencies.
Using the Wider Business Context Method, we establish the process landscape and hierarchy, typically through Levels 0 to 3. We connect it to objectives, ownership, systems, information, governance and performance at the agreed depth, then configure and populate the repository with your team's validation.
We agree practical ownership and review arrangements so the architecture remains useful as the business changes. The work identifies priority processes for further investigation without requiring every process to be documented at operational detail.
Minimum Viable Architecture: Establish the core structure, purpose, ownership and relationships needed for a coherent starting point.
Existing and Target Architecture: Add the current context and evidence needed to compare the current operation with the intended future and inform change.
Extended Intelligence: Add further measures, evidence and relationships where they improve the value of analysis and decisions.
What you gain
A shared, maintained picture of how the business works, supporting clearer accountability, consistent and better informed decisions, and a justified focus for process improvement.
IGX Process Transformation
Using the Process Deep Dive Assessment and Thin Deep Slice Method.
When this service helps
You have a process you want to work better: faster, more consistent, better controlled, or with more capacity, or an opportunity that deserves a repeatable approach for what follows.
What IGX does
We agree the process boundary, intended outcomes and baseline. Through the Process Deep Dive Assessment, we capture how work actually happens, including tacit knowledge, exceptions, workarounds and decision rationale. We validate that picture with the people doing and governing the work.
We use Process Operating Fit to compare realistic options and test value, cost, feasibility and control. The chosen approach may combine human-led working, workflow, RPA or Agentic AI, whichever is justified by the evidence.
Using the Thin Deep Slice Method, we develop the selected process into Levels 4 to 5 and deliver the agreed operational implementation. We establish roles and controls, test functional and exception cases, and prepare the people needed, then validate results against the agreed acceptance criteria.
What you gain
An implemented improvement with clear ownership and measured results. Knowledge Activation puts captured know-how into everyday work, while the reusable Blueprint multiplies the value of what has been learned.
Commission a facilitated Deep Dive.
If you need a defensible view before committing to an engagement, engage IGX to facilitate either Deep Dive as a standalone diagnostic. We bring the relevant people together, challenge assumptions and turn findings into a recommendation with clear next steps.
Organisation Deep Dive facilitation
The question: can this organisation, division or team sustain the intended change?
IGX prepares and leads the review with the sponsor and relevant operational, technology, governance and workforce leads. We test the evidence, reconcile different perspectives and identify shared capability gaps, ownership issues and dependencies.
- An agreed organisational diagnostic and evidence-confidence findings.
- Documented unknowns, disagreements and priority constraints.
- Accountable actions and a Readiness Roadmap.
- A recommendation on the scope and timing of further work.
Process Deep Dive facilitation
The question: which operating arrangement is right for this process, and what would justify changing it?
IGX works with the process owner, practitioners and relevant specialists to establish how work happens. We test the evidence and compare operating options, including the economics, controls and organisational dependencies of the proposed change.
- Validated process knowledge and evidence-confidence findings.
- A Current Mode, Fit Decision and Justified Target.
- A reasoned recommendation to retain, improve, simplify, defer or stop.
- An owned roadmap and proposed implementation scope where justified.
Standalone or included in services: a Deep Dive can be commissioned independently or embedded within its corresponding implementation service. We agree the scope and fee to avoid duplicate charging, reuse reliable findings and identify any updates needed before delivery proceeds.
Facilitation strengthens the basis for a decision. It does not automatically lead to an implementation project or authorise deployment. Your accountable decision-makers approve the next step.
From evidence to operational outcomes.
Agree the decision and outcome
Define the organisation or process boundary, sponsor, deliverables, acceptance criteria and available evidence. Confirm which existing engagement findings can be reused.
Build a picture people can trust
Review records and operational evidence, facilitate the relevant people, and validate findings with the people who own, perform and support the work.
Choose and approve the justified scope
Agree priorities, options, costs, dependencies and control requirements. Use the Roadmap to sequence remaining evidence, capability requirements and operating changes.
Deliver using the appropriate method
Use the Wider Business Context Method for the enterprise architecture, or the Thin Deep Slice Method for the selected process transformation. Populate, configure and test to validate the agreed outputs.
Measure, maintain and build on the learning
Assign ongoing ownership, review outcomes and update the roadmap. Keep the architecture and Blueprint informed as work continues, with reassessment when the context changes.
IGX leads the work. Your people make it real.
A durable outcome needs both delivery expertise and the knowledge held inside your organisation. We agree who leads and who contributes to each part of the engagement.
IGX's contribution
- Lead the engagement and facilitate the assessment and workshops.
- Apply the agreed method, information standards and quality checks.
- Configure and populate the repository within the selected implementation scope.
- Maintain findings, decisions, dependencies and delivery actions.
- Provide the agreed briefing, training and handover.
Your organisation's contribution
- Appoint a sponsor, accountable owners and available subject matter experts.
- Provide authorised access to relevant people, records and systems.
- Validate operational accuracy and resolve internal decisions.
- Approve scope, controls, residual risks and acceptance of deliverables.
- Own ongoing adoption, maintenance and performance.
We use a standard IGX approach, configured to your context and agreed scope. Where your team completes defined activities, we agree the briefing, review and IGX oversight needed to maintain consistency.
The capabilities behind the delivery.
Discovery, design, mining and automation support the two services. We use the capabilities needed for the agreed outcome, drawing on suitable platforms and the evidence available.
Discovery and knowledge capture
Bring together documented information and practical experience. Establish what actually happens, why it happens and where exceptions and workarounds exist.
Architecture and process design
Connect the enterprise landscape or define a selected future process, with clear responsibilities, information needs, controls and standards.
Process mining and measurement
Where suitable event data exists, examine actual performance and variation, establish a baseline and test whether the expected improvement is realised.
Workflow, integration and automation
Implement the justified mix of coordination, task automation and AI, including Agentic AI, with human decisions, oversight and recovery designed into the operation.
iGrafx Process360 Live provides the process repository foundation where included in the engagement. IGX360 Insights can help identify gaps and track repository completeness. Software, integrations and licences are defined in the agreed scope.
Know what you are commissioning.
Before work begins, we agree the scope, deliverables, responsibilities and commercial arrangements. The right engagement reflects the breadth of the organisation or process, the complexity of existing information and the condition of existing infrastructure.
A defined engagement
- Boundaries, informational depth and deliverable formats.
- Required participants, evidence and system access.
- Milestones, dependencies, fees and acceptance criteria.
- Software, integrations, specialist input and support requirements.
- Assumptions, exclusions and how scope changes are agreed.
Evidence of a useful outcome
- Architecture or process usable, with ownership and validation against the agreed scope.
- Process measures such as delay, effort, error, rework or control performance.
- Adoption, and the ability of owners to maintain the result.
- Remaining gaps, accepted issues and residual risk.
- Benefits assessed against the agreed baseline and business case.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between process discovery, design and mining?
Discovery finds out what a process actually is today. Design decides what it should be. Mining measures what really happens, from the event logs your systems already generate, rather than from what the procedure says should happen.
How is an engagement structured?
Each engagement is scoped from the outset, with milestones, dependencies and acceptance criteria agreed up front, so you see progress along the way.
Can you work with our existing Visio, SharePoint, or SOP content?
Yes. That is the Insights path: IGX360 reads the documents you already hold rather than requiring a rebuild in a new tool first.
What do you need to understand, or deliver?
Bring a business need, a fresh area of attention, or assessment findings you want to act on. We will help define a useful engagement, from a standalone facilitated diagnostic to a full process implementation.
